I got a message saying you can't reply to old posts, so how do you know if the post is old or not? help. Icon_question

Well How i do it is a look at the date and if is more than a weeek so lets say the last post was
July 5 2010 and today was July 12 2010 I would not post on it.

Mostly if the topic have been a month or more ago, when it was posted, it is mostly a old post. Same thing like aj said. Locking
