I think it is fair because the people who pay a little extra get something in return.If you DaniellaWinterFun5 had VIP or a Zoo Babv you would get a treat too.But because we only acutally buy bears and stuff like that we get rewarded with the whole of babv apart from the zoo.
Who knows they could let people who dont have vip or a zoo bear go into the zoo.

Unfortunately, previously purchased zoo animals are not eligible for access to the zoo. You can purchase ANY furry friend between May 28th - June 30th to get into the zoo!

thanks for the clear up bearhug =0). i myself could not tell when i first got on about accesibility to the zoo, but when i tried it on a side account i have with a now made Zoo animal, it did not let me in.

Without a NEW Bear, you can only go in to the BABV Zoo Entrance. It's not Fun at all. You can't even play the Games! Sad

while i can agree it might not be fair to some that don't have a new bab and can't have access yet to the new zoo, remember that build-a-bear is a buisness foremost that depends on you making purchases to keep it's 90% free online site still free for everyone; as compared to other sites that won't let you play unless you buy their products 100% of the time, babv is still free and enjoyable with very great perks for buying their stuff in return; and now with the new online virtual code you get when you purchase clothing (which BTW Maxine;the most pawsome idea so far yet if you're reading this), makes it even more exciting to buy thier stuff.

Remember, there's not that much you have to spend on BABV to enjoy it; a large $10 bear (which sometimes babw issues coupons for $5 off) in exchange for a cool cub condo, some rooms you can buy with your bb's, a tradeable PSI and a very cute furry friend that follows you around, where as compared to a small overpriced stuffed animal that rarely goes on sale that allows you access to only certin things which then you have to buy a membership to get to the other stuff, that's really not fair when you think about it.

i mean there's gotta be some stuff that you need to make special purchases to gain access to in babv, if not, then it's just another free site that's not really making any money off of it to pay it's staff and donate to organizations around the world.

I cannot BELIEVE you think that's fair! I am saving money, and I don't think it's fair that you actually have to PAY!!! If anything, I agree with the others. it is not fair Icon_biggrin

Ok, for the sake of arguing. let's say you have a buisness with a full staff that you have to pay in return for them monitoring your site and creating graphics and all, and not to mention the promotion you have to do to get the word out about your site (T.V Commercials, Flyers, Etc...) , those all cost money and unless you have a benefactor that is willing to pay for everything plus your employers then you have nothing to worry about, but that only happens lets face it, in fantasy world.

if you run a 100% free site; how are you going to pay your employers? the Advertisers? the yearly fee to keep your site up and runing; those all cost money, and it's gotta come from somewhere.

if you compare BABV to other very popular sites like webkinz and sites similar to it; babv does not require you to buy their products in order to sign up like those sites do. it's just depends on how much you want to get into those certain places that require a purchase; it's called supply and demand; we demend new stuff from babv and the staff and maxine supply us with what we want. it's great that you're saving money; so do i. i take advantage of the promotions that babw has and all the coupons they send me plus the $10 stuff fur stuff certificates i save.

BABW is ofcourse a buisness that needs to make money somehow; which i fully understand, and remember they do donate to charities so it's not like maxine's company keeps 100% of their profits.

I'm going to close this thread as i feel that both sides of this discussion as been discussed enough. I ask that no other members please not create another thread about this discussion. we'll all just have to wait to see what happens on june 1st.
