Edwards Life Chapter One ~Halloween Special~
I found myself in a dark gloomy place surrounded by nothing but old cracked grave stones. I slowly walked through the long pathway that gradually got smaller and smaller as my eyes looked ahead, I didn’t want to look anywhere but straight ahead I was too scared to see what danger surrounded me “BOO” my friend May screamed as she jumped up behind me. “AHH” I yelled from the top of my throat causing birds to fly out of the bony looking tree left with nothing to its name. I continued walking leaving my friend behind in the fog. At the end of the rocky path was an old house that awaited me, it looked magical as the moon made a spotlight. I ran and ran hoping it would be the end to this nightmare I was wrong, this is where my nightmare really began! I peered through the keyhole of the door to see nothing but a garnish of cobwebs as if guarding the door, it slowly creaked opened but no one was on the receiving side. Feeling safe and warm from the roaring fire in the grand hall, I walked around the house with my furry friend to keep me safe. I could feel myself getting deeper and deeper into his soft stuffing how tight I was holding him, I must have been petrified. As I walked up the wobbly stairs a dazzling window made the real centre piece of the house, so I stopped for a little while just gazing out into the distant peace until I felt a cold breath drifting past my neck! My mouth felt trapped I wanted to talk but I couldn’t then I realised why, I had sticky masking tape fixed to my mouth, I was a useless without my voice. I continue to look in to the open fields of golden corn and the bright pumpkins. Before long I felt a sharp knife, I could see a vague reflection in the window. I was far from the truth, the deadly thing I imagined to be a knife was a vampires tooth getting closer and closer to my neck, I soon knew this was to be the end but would not dare to look into the creature’s eyes. Soon all my memories of home are going to seem further and further away until they disappear. The distant peace from that window was the last I ever saw while I lay lifeless in the arms of a vampire!
“Eddie Wake Up, we are going to carve a pumpkin!” my Mum proudly whispers. It was all a dream, my life is the same as ever maybe boring but at least I know how much I appreciate it really. “Eddie!” Mum shouts from down in the hall trying to get me to help my little Brother Max choose a trick or treating costume. “Just coming” Before I help little Maxy, I just have to post my nightmare onto Bearville World before I forget it all, some day it could even become a book on the forum!
